Philosophy

Graceful Gardens was born from our Founder Grace Wicks' love of nature, people, food, design, healthy urban habitat, and the desire to earn a living by providing a unique gardening service that embodies all of these passions.

As we have grown to a team of a dozen employees over the past decade, we are proud to operate with a triple bottom line mentality where people, profit and planet are all considered in every decision we make.

Below are specific examples of how these core values are integrated into the work of Graceful Gardens:

Excellence in Service

At Graceful Gardens, we care about our clients, and we are committed to seeing that every job is held to the standard of excellence and done with grace. We love what we do, and believe that the way in which the service is delivered is as important as the quality of the end result. Every person, just like every garden, is unique, and it is a blessing and we feel honored to have the opportunity to work with each of you.

Source Organic

We strive to use organic gardening techniques and products, including compost and fertilizers. Organic products are not only better for the environment and human health, but they are better for your garden. The results are visible.

Keep it Local

We believe in purchasing materials from locally owned, independent businesses. Plants raised locally are better adapted for our environment, and cut down on the pollution of shipping. Buying local creates more jobs and keeps money circulating in our local economy, and personal relationships ensure the accountability for quality products. Graceful Gardens is a member of the Sustainable Business Network of Greater Philadelphia.

Community Service

Our team takes pride in giving back to the community by participating in service projects and donating to local nonprofits.
